Senator Crowe receives education “Statesman Award”
(NASHVILLE, TN), April 8, 2008 – State Senator Rusty Crowe (R-Johnson City) has received the “Statesman Award” by the Tennessee Home Education Association (THEA). Crowe received the award on Tuesday in Nashville at a meeting attended by members of the organization statewide.
Crowe was recognized for leadership as he has served the state’s home school students. The award also thanked Crowe for “appreciation for fairness. You are a very gifted, engaging public servant,” the award read.
Tennessee Home Education Association was founded by home educating families. The common purpose of these organizations is to protect the rights of home schoolers and to promote and strengthen home education within the state.
