Springfield-Robertson County Airport Awarded Grant
Nashville, Tenn. – Sen. Diane Black (R-Gallatin) along with Department of Transportation Commissioner Gerald F. Nicely is proud to announce that the Springfield-Robertson County Airport will be receiving financial assistance for video camera surveillance.
A grant of $16,000 has been approved by the Department of Transportation to cover 90 percent of the estimated total cost of the project. The Springfield-Robertson County Joint Airport Board will be responsible for the remaining funds.
“The Springfield-Robertson County Airport is a great asset for our community,” said Black. “The facility is vital for the economic development of the county. I am pleased that the state is providing funding for this project.”
After serving six years in the Tennessee House of Representatives, Black was elected to the State Senate in 2004. In 2007, she was elected Chairman of the Senate Republican Caucus. She serves on the Senate Finance, Ways and Means Committee; the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate General Welfare, Health and Human Resources Committee.
